Our old friend Jim Mahfood, aka Food One — he of the awesome L.A. Ink Stains comics and esteemed Prom organizer — has finally gotten his much worked on show launched over at MTV’s Liquid Television. The show, D.I.S.C.O. Destroyer, will be a linchpin in the reboot of Liquid Television, which was known for spawning such hits as Daria, Aeon Flux, The Maxx, Celebrity Deathmatch and more. We’re huge fans of Jim’s work, and are stoked to see it finally come to fruition. From the mouth of Jim:

“It only took ten long years but I finally get to see my stuff animated! This is the twisted little brainchild of me, Scott Mosier, and Joe Casey. Super fun stuff, done for the relaunch of Liquid Television over at MTV. Huge thx to Chris P, Ben Kalina, Antonio Canobbio, Mike Moloney, and Griff Kimmins over at Titmouse Cartoons for doing such an incredible job! Everyone who was involved in this project put their fucking hearts and souls into it. I think it shows. D.I.S.C.O. Episode 1 is also part of the MTV Liquid Television Episode 1 Package on iTunes. When you purchase it you get a whole bunch of other cartoons, too!”
